[GitHub] [beam] damccorm opened a new issue, #20216: Test TIMESTAMP support in Python SqlTransform

damccorm opened a new issue, #20216:
URL: https://github.com/apache/beam/issues/20216

It should be possible to process a schema'd PCollection with a Python timestamp field in SqlTransform, and have it map to a SQL TIMESTAMP. This will work best in ZetaSQL once it supports a microsecond TIMESTAMP (BEAM-10607), since Python's timestamps are microsecond precision.

Imported from Jira [BEAM-10008](https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/BEAM-10008). Original Jira may contain additional context.
