Torque & MySQL: auto-increment or IdBroker?

Hi,
I have seen different scenarios when using MySQL regarding whether to use
auto-increment or idbroker for the idMethod for ID/primary key management.
What's the best choice?
Do I run into trouble when using idbroker across all my tables?
