Problems POI in Applet

Hi
  At present I am using org.apache.poi.hssf.contrib.view package classes to
display excel sheet(xls) in applet, it's working fine but I am unable to
edit the UI data .
Can anyone help me in this?
And one more thing Is there any API to display excel sheets(.xlsx) in
applet using POI ?
