[jira] [Commented] (TIKA-4178) HttpFetcher should handle encoded URLs properly

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/TIKA-4178?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=17804480#comment-17804480 ]

Tim Allison commented on TIKA-4178:
-----------------------------------

K. I confirmed that URLs should be properly encoded by the user for the HttpFetcher to work. I did this with a direct HttpFetcher calling: https://corpora.tika.apache.org/base/docs/test/this%20is%20a%20(test)$.txt

The user who raised this issue reported that even encoded URLs were not working in Tika server. So, I'll need to trace the fetch key through the request process to figure out what's going on.
