[jira] Reopened: (XERCESC-1237) xs:unique is used like xs:key

     [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/XERCESC-1237?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:all-tabpanel ]

Alberto Massari reopened XERCESC-1237:
--------------------------------------

      Assignee: Alberto Massari

For some reasons this schema doesn't trigger the error; but if it is changed to be

<xs:element name="root" type="rootType">
  <xs:unique name="uniqueKey">
    <xs:selector xpath=".//child"/>
    <xs:field xpath="@attr"/>
    <xs:field xpath="@attr2"/>
  </xs:unique>
</xs:element>

the error is reported for the first two entries (the one with no attributes seems to be skipped...)

> xs:unique is used like xs:key

>             Project: Xerces-C++
>          Issue Type: Bug
> Components: Validating Parser (Schema) (Xerces 1.5 or up only)
>    Affects Versions: 2.5.0
>         Environment: Win XP
> PC

> 		<xs:unique name="uniqueLNodeType">
> 			<xs:selector xpath="scl:LNodeType"/>
> 			<xs:field xpath="@id"/>
> 			<xs:field xpath="@iedType"/>
> 		</xs:unique>
> This xs:unique seems to be validated like xs:key.
> In my xml-file there is a  <LNodeType id="IED_0001/PROT/LPHD1" lnClass="LPHD">
> Xerces tells me, there are not enough values specified for <unique>
> If I add an iedType like here:    <LNodeType id="IED_0001/PROT/LLN0" lnClass="LLN0" iedType="frranz">
> Xerces seems to be satisfied.
> But this is not correct: the fields of an unique needn't to be required. They may be optional and so they may be missing.
