svn.exe gets stuck when running in a Virtual PC

Hi,

I'm trying to create a working copy using svn.exe in a Virtual PC 2007
running Windows XP. If I checkout to directory on the local disk of
the Virtual PC it works, but if I checkout to a shared folder on my
real computer mapped as a network drive in the Virtual PC svn.exe gets
stuck.

This is when checking out from a http repository. If the repository is
using the svn protocol it works just fine.

According to procexp svn.exe gets stuck inside a call to WS2_32.dll!select.

Anyone else noticed this? Could there be a problem with my network?
I'm aware that this isn't a very common thing to do so I don't really
expect any solutions, but I thought I might ask anyways.
