problem to compile the source version of Tomcat

with Linux red hat 6.1, jdk1.2.2 and J2EE1.2.1

First I install 'ant', that's OK
Then, I get the following message when compiling
Tomcat:

src/share/org/apche/tomcat/core/HttpSerletRequestFacade.java/143
method toDate(java.lang.String) not found in
apache.tomcat.core.REquestUtil
long date = RequestUtil.toDate(value)

method
getLocates(org.apache.tomcat.core.HttpServletRequestFacade)
not found un class org.apache.tomcat.core.RequestUtil

build.xml:58 compile failed

---

First of all, what is strange is that the class
'RequestUtil' belong to the 'util' package' and NOT
the 'core' package!
But in the import directive of the file
HttpServletRequestUtil, there is the directive 'import
org.apache.tomcat.util.*'

So, I had the folowind line:
import org.apache.tomcat.util.RequestUtil; in the
HttpServletRequestFacade file, specific for
RequestUtil.

End then all is ok!

That's like a cyclic dependency is solved...?
