Cleaning up old issues... This only affects IE6 users, so it's significance quite low now. I suggest that those few users require IE6 support would be better served by another datepicker implementation, such as tapx-datefield (https://github.com/hlship/tapx) or the DateField component in Tapestry5-jquery (http://tapestry5-jquery.com/core/docsdatefield)
