hongbin ma commented on INFRA-12561:
------------------------------------

is there a way to make JIAR parsing the emails from dev@kylin.apache.org, just like it does for jira@apache.org?

> Hi
> This is Hongbin from Apache Kylin, thanks for your time!
> I subscribed Kylin's mail list dev@kylin.apache.org, and I can successfully receive emails when Kylin JIRAs are being created. (for example: [jira] [Created] (KYLIN-1973) bla bla bla)
> Such emails are sent from jira@apache.org, and contains "Reply-To: dev@kylin.apache.org", so when anyone clicked reply, his/her response will be sent to dev@kylin.apache.org.
> The issue is that such replies will not be automatically converted to a "comment" in the JIRA, which makes the JIAR page end up with less messages than the mail list thread. It might be confusing to the new comers at the JIRA page.
> Another observation is that if I manually add "jira@apache.org" to the reply's receivers' list, the email will be converted to a JIRA comment, like this one: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/KYLIN-1973?focusedCommentId=15460558&page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel#comment-15460558
