[jira] [Created] (YARN-5250) YARN queues are case-sensitive
Anurag Tangri created YARN-5250:
-----------------------------------
Summary: YARN queues are case-sensitive
Key: YARN-5250
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/YARN-5250
Project: Hadoop YARN
Issue Type: Bug
Components: capacity scheduler
Affects Versions: 2.6.0
Reporter: Anurag Tangri
Priority: Minor
Hi,
capacity scheduler on YARN give error if users trying to use queue name in case in-sensitive manner.
for eg if a queue name is 'abc'.
If user submited to queue 'Abc', it does not let uer submit the job.
This is correct behavior from current implementation but should queues not be case insensitive ?
Most production deployments will not have queeus with name as 'abc' and 'Abc'.
Thanks,
Anurag Tangri
