MTOM/XOP Parsing

I have an MTOM/XOP formatted message, and I am trying to parse it
outside of Axis using the AXIOM APIs.  I have been searching for an
example online, but haven't been able to find one.  I have seen examples
building a message from scratch, but not one parsing an existing
message.  Is this possible?
