[Issue 125593] New: new sheets won't print
https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=125593
Issue ID: 125593
Issue Type: DEFECT
Summary: new sheets won't print
Product: Calc
Version: 4.0.1
Hardware: PC
OS: Windows XP
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: major
Priority: P3
Component: printing
Assignee: issues@openoffice.apache.org
Reporter: theoberg4@gmail.com
I have been using OpenOffice for several years, every now and then I run into a
sheet that won't print. It doesn't even show up in the print preview window.
A current multiple sheet document/file has two sheets that won't print. I
think the last time this happened I gave up and opened a new document/file.
But I really don't like this option when I want all the sheets together in one
file.
I have looked through all the drop down menus multiple times. I have installed
the newest version of OpenOffice 4.1.1 and this has not corrected the problem.
Help!

No - that's not it. I checked each sheet "Data > Select Range >" and there are
no defined ranges on any sheet! If I'm supposed to look elsewhere I don't know
where.
Also, I've tried the forum before and only get lost in there.

Look at the existing tables and you will find at least one defined print range.

On the sheet that wouldn't print (or even Print Preview) I went to View > Page
Break Preview >
then I highlighted a large section of the page, right click, > Define Print
Range; all that I highlighted was then printable
Until that point, however, there were NO sheets that had defined print ranges,
so that isn't what was keeping the sheet from print preview or print view.
I cannot present the document since it has confidential information on it.

What was the problem and how do you resolved it? Maybe other users are
interested for the solution.
Without having the document nobody can reproduce the described problem. Every
reproducible bug report is welcome!
