Back at it soon...

I've been a bit busy lately and haven't had much time to address specific
shindig issues.  Later this week I expect to get back up to speed and will
drive towards the 2.0.0 release and get our July 21st board report prepared.

In the meantime I'd appreciate it if we could come up with a consensus of
what breaking changes are going into 2.0.0 and which are not.  Just use Jira
to assign issues to the 2.0.0 release.
