   Try replace the
   `
   ar crv $@ $(filter %.o, $?)
   `
   with 
   `
   ar Scrv $@ $(filter %.o, $?)
   `
   
   in `Makefile`. It worked for me.
   
   The root cause of this may be the 4GB limit of static lib generated by `ar`.  See the `64-bit variant` chapter in [wiki](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ar_(Unix)).
