   I don't see a separate issue, but the release process page still doesn't include the `compile_assets` release requirement. Should I open a new JIRA issue for that?
   
   Relatedly, this makes `pip` installing Airflow from git a bit more difficult. Could `compile_assets` be added to `do_setup` to ease installation (and even the release process)?
