[jira] [Commented] (MAPREDUCE-2986) Multiple node managers support for the MiniYARNCluster

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/MAPREDUCE-2986?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=13119500#comment-13119500 ]

Anupam Seth commented on MAPREDUCE-2986:
----------------------------------------

I was able to reproduce the hanging test and was investigating through the root cause. But, after doing a svn update this morning, all tests pass and there is no longer a hang. I am re-attaching the patch. Looks like someone else checked in a fix for something that was hitting the same bug that my patch was hitting. I have not yet analyzed exactly which change hit the nail.

> The current MiniYARNCluster can only support 1 node manager, which is not enough for the full test purposes.
> Would like to have a simulator that can support multiple node managers as the real scenario. This might be beneficial for hadoop users, testers and developers.
