Status of MessageService

Not sure whether here is the best place or the OpenSocial list.

So MessageService is a Shindig extension. I just wanted to know whether
and when it will be incorporated into the OpenSocial standards. As part
of my integration, I'm writing some example code, and wanted to figure
out whether to use the messaging extension, or just use appdata for my
message passing. Is there some opposition for it to be included? It
seems like a logical extension of the API. Some background would be
appreciated.

Thanks

Jeff

Hey Jeff,

Actually, /messages is part of the OpenSocial 0.9 standard as an
optional interface: http://www.opensocial.org/Technical-Resources/opensocial-spec-v09/REST-API.html#rfc.section.10

Cheers,
Ben
