   FYI Hadoop 3.2.1 contains [HADOOP-16255](https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HADOOP-16255) which Spark can get rid of workaround via SPARK-28025. (additional file operations)
   
   Btw is there any discussion around having Hadoop 2.x? 2.7.4 is definitely EOL but no one intends to upgrade it.
