Feature Request: Lock Processors onto the UI

Would it be possible to lock Processors onto the UI? I often accidentally move the Processor and it would useful if it could be "pinned" or locked in place.

Thanks!

Kevin

Hi,

What would be nice would be to "lock" labels. Because when you move around
your workflows, if you click inside a label it'll move it. It can be a bit
annoying.
There is a JIRA for that: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/NIFI-3099

Kevin,

Undo makes sense if you're just in visual designer mode. It becomes
really problematic when you consider NiFi allows you to design and
alter live running flows. So, these boundaries and considerations
have been built-in to how NiFi and the NiFi Registry support version
managed flows. You definitely want to check that stuff out. With
that you can just say 'hey go back to version X' and it will take care
of undoing any changes. It is quite nice.

Thanks

Thanks Joe, good insight. What about an undo feature for the UI? I often move or change a processor and would really LOVE to be able to click undo.

Thanks,

Kevin

Kevin,

We have talked about this a bit in the past.

If you leverage versioned flows and you accidentally move or even make changes to the flow you could simply rollback the version to get in sync again.

We could also add a way to enforce a read-only sort of view mode but there has never been much of an appetite to do so.

Others?

Thanks
Joe
