[users@httpd] Must one use localhost to start?

Hello all,

Is it a requirement for one to use localhost at the initial installation
of Apache or can one put the actual url from start and then connect it
to the internet. I am asking this because I have installed one before,
and I had to edit my httpd.conf file later on in order to get on the
internet. So I was just wondering if one can just put the real url from
start.

Thanks

Ola

Yes, you can write anything in httpd.conf.
