ambari-1.5.1 ganglia service

1. When a user add a new service like hbase, how and when server
create reconfig or restart command of ganglia for agent?

2. In ambari-agent,ganglia service create more than one gmond
processes(eg:HDPNameNode,HDPDateNode),one process listen one port why not
use same process ?

Thanks!

Hi,

1. After adding a service, the Ganglia configurations are re-created on STOP/START combination or RESTART. You need to issue either of those using the API.
2. Using different gmond gives a nice separation of host/component combinations that the server uses to collect those metrics.

Thanks,
Nate
