>
> Key: SPARK-4388
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SPARK-4388
> Project: Spark
> Issue Type: Improvement
> Components: Documentation, Web UI

> I've spoken to users who were confused by the max memory / used memory columns in the executor UI, since the max memory was less than the total amount of memory in their executor. This behavior is expected, since this is only showing the fraction of memory that's reserved for caching, but we should add a tooltip to explain this in order to avoid confusion.
