bugfix release 2.2.2

Hi,

I created a release plan for the next bugfix release. You can find it in
the wiki at

    http://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/UIMA/TestPlan2.2.2

Please check the release plan an post comment if it works for you. We
have 3 weeks left for bug fixing before we start testing.
The release version number will be 2.2.2. I have renamed the current 2.3
release version to 2.2.2 and created a new 2.3 release version.

Please review all open issues and add the fix version 2.2.2 to all
issues that should be fixed for the bugfix release 2.2.2.

I reviewed the unscheduled issues list and changed some fix versions to
2.2.2. The list of open issues for the
next release is shown below:
Key Summary
UIMA-747 addSourceToJars.sh contains windows EOL characters, making
it unusable out of the box
UIMA-764 Source distribution is incomplete: documentation can't be built
UIMA-733 it is possible to load a type system descriptor that
redefines the super type of the DocumentAnnotation
UIMA-734 Check and possibly update docs for capability language flow
to say not to depend on subtyping
UIMA-749 add performance report to CVD
UIMA-657 Eclipse Update site should keep previous versions
UIMA-672 Wrong URL for mirrors support in the Eclipse update site
UIMA-727 Result Specifications not being passed to imbedded Pears
UIMA-782 Document Java 1.5 requirement for running Eclipse to use
CDE, and mark runtime plugin (and others) as needing 1.5 level

Please review the list so that we know the scope for the next two weeks.
Is there anything else?

A short reminder to the release plan schedule.

March 7 Code Freeze, bug fixes only
March 10 Start test phase
March 21 End of test, start release vote
March 24 Start vote on general@incubator.a.o
April 7 Target release date

Seems like that the work for the UIMA core release is up to schedule,
the only remaining issue is the version number change. I will do this on
Monday when tagging and building the first release candidate for
testing. I will also update the release plan with the major items we
need to check during the test.

Thanks so far.. :-)
