[jira] [Commented] (SOLR-7646) OOM exception wrapped in runtime exception

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SOLR-7646?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=14580541#comment-14580541 ]

Mark Miller commented on SOLR-7646:
-----------------------------------

Yeah, OOM's need to bubble all the way out and wrapping them in RuntimeExceptions will cause problems. We cleaned this all up before (there are also issues around catching Throwable), but it seems to have been broken in various places since then. Not sure how we can keep devs from screwing this up long term - not easy to test all the permutations.
