[jira] [Created] (XERCESJ-1686) Very high memory usage validating XSD 1.1 (+memory leak)

Manuel Fernandes created XERCESJ-1686:
-----------------------------------------

Summary: Very high memory usage validating XSD 1.1 (+memory leak)
                 Key: XERCESJ-1686
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/XERCESJ-1686
             Project: Xerces2-J
          Issue Type: Bug
            Reporter: Manuel Fernandes

I'm sorry, but validation with files of a reasonable size, invariably results in an outofmemory error. When I speak of reasonably sized files, it does not take much 15, 20Mb. Of course if we use a huge amount of memory, then everything goes well. But is this how you solve the problem? Definitely, no, in some cases it is not even possible to use this memory. So, for me, either solve this problem, or declare the project dead.
Examples can use Simon Sprott's post. They are the same for all countries that use the audit file for tax purposes recommended by the OSCE
PS: there are commercial projects that work properly.
Thank you.
