OO not recognizing printer

1) I am not computer savvy
2) I've looked at the website and read thru the suggestions given for this
problem.
3) I do not know how to so some of the things suggested. Others did not
work.

4) Can someone email me and actually offer to call me and help me on the
phone, so I can have step by step instructions, while still on the phone,
to try to solve the problem?

I need help and I do not understand why direct person to person help is not
offered by open office personnel.

I don't even know how to find out which version of OO I have.

Sincerely,
Barbara

Please reply to users@openoffice.apache.org only, this way you reach all
volunteers.
Don't forget to subscribe to this mailing list otherwise you miss useful
suggestions from others.

Try the suggestion to install OO first and when you have still questions
come back to us.

Your first message was about that OO does not recognize your printer
this suggest that OpenOffice was working.

When you download OpenOffice it ask where you want to save the download,
by default it saves it on your desktop
In my case the file name is:
Apache_OpenOffice_4.1.1_Win_x86_install_en-US.exe but can be different based
on your Operating System.
If you double click on that file it start the installation process.

We are also users who volunteer to help to the best of our ability via
this email address or via the
OpenOffice Forum website.

Apache OpenOffice has no personnel all development is done by volunteers.

Most applications including OpenOffice have a Help and a About menu
entry, the About menu give you the version.
Apart from that it is useful if you give us information about your
Operating System and version.
