Link for couchdb weekly news
Hello everyone,
Found this great wirteup by Jan on twitter.
http://www.infoq.com/articles/apache-couchdb-the-definitive-introduction
This week is going to be really good :)

I think it was a brilliant article. Great summary of features including a
tease into the big couch merge. It covered basically everything. The
examples were great as well. The accounting example lit a bulb for me :)
If it is possible I would like to see a link to this (or full reproduction
if possible) on the couchdb official website, or in the book or in the
docs. Somewhere where newcomers can easily find a link to the introduction.

Aww thanks you two, this is awfully nice of you to say :)
Still, if there is anything, that could be improved, even nitpicks, do let me know!

Jan,
in my opinion, this is one of the best introduction articles I read in a
long time. Sure, it's brand new and therefor, all the recent development
goodies are included. But your are also digging a bit deeper - e.g. how and
when views are created and how they are updated in conjunction with
sequence numbers. I think this is a extremely important thing that should
be explained more often (I started to write an article regarding only this
topic but sucked a bit :) and did not publish it ...)
I also like the comparison with git and the explanations how the queries
would look like in a SQL world.
My feedback: super cool! The article has to be mentioned at a very
prominent place in our community (I will check cwiki ...) .
Thanks for that and
Cheers
Andy

Heh, I totally forgot about that one :) — Thanks for digging it up.
I’d be interested in getting some feedback on how I positioned CouchDB there.
Note that the original publication was not on InfoQ, but a more traditional
developer magazine, so I made the introduction bit and comparison with MySQL
a bit wider than usual, to lure readers in with something they are hopefully
familiar with :)
Best
