[jira] [Commented] (YUNIKORN-1297) constants missing after scheduler-interface build

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/YUNIKORN-1297?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=17585080#comment-17585080 ]

Wilfred Spiegelenburg commented on YUNIKORN-1297:
-------------------------------------------------

Just fixing the build breakage to not stop the 1.1 release.
We need to fix the build process to prevent changes that break the overall integrated build. Tracking a breakage like this in a CI pipeline that builds everything from scratch is complex and time consuming.

> The constant move in YUNIKORN-1122 has broken the build. Changes have been added to the generated constants.go file instead of to the definition file.
> That means a make build run against the scheduler-interface removes the newly added constants and future builds referencing the file do not work.
> This breaks the official releases (run from source tar ball) if anyone runs a make build on the scheduler-interface before building the rest of YuniKorn.
