Runtime exceptions through TrAX

I notice Xalan seems to be wrapping all the runtime exceptions I 
throw out of my ContentHandler  that's receiving events from Xalan 
via TrAX's SAXResult. This feels wrong. Should it be doing this? I 
see nothing in the TrAX docs that indicates this is going to happen.
