Maybe related: [https://github.com/apache/arrow/commit/d4121d8a17d9e53ad4421960e357dd2f89771603] adds {{FindRE2.cmake}} but {{/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/cmake/arrow/Findre2Alt.cmake:25}} looks for {{re2}}:

 (Note the difference in casing.) That's even with a newer than distro CMake:
