[jira] [Commented] (SM-2068) Adjustable PermSize and MaxPermSize in karaf script

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SM-2068?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=13017856#comment-13017856 ]

Andreas Pieber commented on SM-2068:
------------------------------------

hey josh,

+1 to your patch; though this is something which should be applied to karaf instead of smx :) Can you please move this issue to karaf? Would you mind to also provide a patch for the karaf.bat file? If the patches are available for karaf within the next days we can include them into karaf-2.2.1 and make it therefore quite fast available for smx.

Thank you

> Using Sun JVM 1.6.0_21 and the Fuse release of ServiceMix 4.3.1, I was running into PermGen OutOfMemory errors. I've hacked up the karaf script to allow setting adjustable values, and reverting to defaults (16M and 64M) if not found in shell variables.
