Gary Tully commented on AMQ-3279:
---------------------------------

Could you verify if there is still an issue with a 5.6 snapshot. My suspicion is that it will be resolved.

> Key: AMQ-3279
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AMQ-3279
> Project: ActiveMQ
> Issue Type: Bug
> Components: Broker
> Affects Versions: 5.4.1
> Environment: 2 Broker Configuration with bidirectional network connectors
> Linux server

>
> we saw the well known problem with the KahaDB in our environment (kahadb does not clean old files).
> Our Configuration is quite simple: 2 Activemq Broker with bidirectional network connectors.
> Now because of other problems i started the brokers with deactivated network connectors - the behaviour of the kahadb does not change,
> old files were left in the directory.
> After restarting the brokers again with activated network connectors the kahadb works as aspected: old log files are deleted.
> This behaviour is may or may not reproducable.
> I do not understand this realy, so it would be helpful for me to know, if there exists a relation between kahadb bug and network connectors.
