Open Wiki
Hi all,
Now that this has been discussed in various places, I would like to take
the next step: Considering that we want to enable non-committers to
provide their bits and pieces on the one hand and that we generate our
"official" site out of the current wiki, which requires write-access
limitations, on the other hand, I propose:
We ask for another space on Confluence (moinmoin is not an option to me
and would make migration of documentation more complicated), such as
SlINGWIKI, which would be open to anyone. If time comes, we can migrate
documentation from the open wiki to the site-wiki.
WDYT ?
Regards
Felix

Cool, when will it be up? I scribbled down two short intros for sling
(one for a general intro like Peter Svensson was probably missing and
one for the REST expert) that are perfect for the wiki because they
need to be finalized and probably corrected by others.

not that this is in any way binding, but it is exactly what I would
have proposed.

According to infra@ the convention for Confluence is to have
"SLING" (aka ${project}) as the open/public wiki and "SLINGxSITE" (aka
${project}xSITE) as the autoexported wbesite space.
It this is also ok, because then we have the default name as the real
wiki and the special name to be special wiki.
WDYT ?

I'd call it SLINGPUBLIC to make it clearer what it's about.
