> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HDDS-2862
> Project: Apache Ozone
> Issue Type: Task
> Components: Ozone Datanode
> Reporter: Attila Doroszlai
> Priority: Minor
> Labels: TriagePending

> With small chunk increments the number of checksums may increase significantly. The goal of this task is to find a way to reduce it, to keep metadata size in control. Theoretically this would also improve read performance, by reducing the number of RPC calls to read a large key, as well as the number of file open operations on the server side.
