Notes - Axis2 MeetUp (Vancouver)

We had a Axis2 MeetUp during the ApacheCon Na 2011 and following are some
of the items identified for future releases.

1.7.0 Version
================================

(1) Move in to Neethi 3 ( already completed)

(2) Support for HTTPClient 4

           - Current approach is to support both HTTPClient 3 and 4 but
some devs wanted directly move into HTTPClient 4.x and just remove 3.x.
But this need lot of active people to
             comment/review/test ported codes. IMO with current status of
the community better to support both HTTPClient versions at least for next
few releases.

(3) Find a proper solution for Axis2 split bundle issue.

(4) Axis2 Deployer API need some clean up so that standard AAR deployment
also threat as another Deployer.

(5) JAX-WS TCK expect wsdl/java tool support by-default to  JAX-WS. It is
require to develop a tool set for this.

1.8.0 Version
================================

(1) Move into XMLSchema 2.0

General
================================

(1) Some devs mentioned part of the XMLSchema related integration tests
need to move in to WS XMLScheam project but this item didn't discuss in
detail.

(2) It is suggested to limit 3 or maximum 4 (including trunk) parallel
development branches and parallel releases.

(3) It is suggested to announce EOL of a active branch before it's last two
maintenance releases.

Thanks !
