Why I hope to Apache Commons DbUtils release new version?
1、Thread bugs need to be fixed. Apache Commons DbUtils 1.7 version have thread bugs in BeanProcessor class via SPI ServiceLoader. Today I find the version 1.8 RC2 have fixed it, the project github website have declared version 1.8, but the apache official website and maven repository all still stay in 1.7 old version.
Maybe you forget to officially release version 1.8?
2、Indicates that the community is active. For old project refactoring and new project technology selection, the last version is the software framework released in 2017, which may be misinterpreted by many as having reached the end of its life cycle. DbUtils is great software, simple and efficient, used by 18.1K users, very very big user group. The new version can encourage new and existing users.
I have found some version 2.0 code too, Thanks for DbUtils teams great work. Expect the new version to be released soon, whether it is 1.8 or 2.0.
