Using Chef to deploy Oozie jobs?

Hi!

I would like to have the jobs fully traceable and versioned, the problem is
how do I deploy them?
Jenkins could be one alternative by issuing ssh-commands and push out the
artifact and install it there.

However, using a pull-method instead has some advantages, where security is
one, so I've been thinking of trying out Chef. Have anyone experience in
doing that? Does it sound like a good idea?
