For those of us lurking waiting for the outcome of this vote, it would 
seem to be extraordinarily slow....

That's not to say I don't appreciate the freely given time of those 
involved or the time they're taking to evaluate 1.2.8.

On the other hand, it would be very good to bring this to some closure.

I'm not a commiter, but...

I tried with our app on Windows (didn't get time for Solaris and AIX 
yet) and it worked just fine.

Question: would it be possible to provide mod_jk binaries for Apache 2.0 
on Windows ?
