[GitHub] [beam] damccorm opened a new issue, #19687: Provide a way to run tests from Gradle in a unified and reusable way

damccorm opened a new issue, #19687:
URL: https://github.com/apache/beam/issues/19687

Right now, performance, IO and other tests that make use of SDK Harness are run via a variety of tasks. It makes creating new tasks and trying to reuse code confusing. It would be good to have a parent task that could run any aforementioned test with minimal added configuration. It could reduce code duplication in Gradle task definitions and make it easier to develop new tests and tasks.

Imported from Jira [BEAM-7697](https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/BEAM-7697). Original Jira may contain additional context.
