Action Form's validate() losing request params

Hi,

I'm quite new to struts and to the list as well :-)

After doing a form validation with the validate() method
of my subclassed ActionForm which returns ActionError, 
the request is forwarded to the input jsp 
i.e it won't go through my base action class
which populates the request with various beans for jsp display.
I'm losing all request params and my jsp's run into some "bean not found"
errors.

When I set the struts-config.xml input attribute 
to my action mapping to go through
the action classes I run into a loop because the corresponding
ActionForm is called again, doing a validate, calls the mapping etc. etc.

Is there any solution to this, or should I perform validation
in my Action classes only (actually I wouldn't want to....)?
