[jira] Created: (GERONIMO-2991) Axis2: supports service-ref overwrite

Axis2: supports service-ref overwrite
--------------------------------------

                 Key: GERONIMO-2991
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/GERONIMO-2991
             Project: Geronimo
          Issue Type: New Feature
      Security Level: public (Regular issues)
          Components: webservices
    Affects Versions: 2.0
            Reporter: Lin Sun
             Fix For: 2.0

>From Jeff on dev list -

The service-ref override is in the web.xml from the client side. The
service-ref can have a <port> <uri> tag that is supposed to override
what comes from the wsdl.

Per Jarek, this is working for CXF...

[jira] Commented: (GERONIMO-2991) Axis2: supports service-ref overwrite

Lin Sun commented on GERONIMO-2991:
-----------------------------------

The port and uri (common webservices code in geronimo) overwrite from geronimo-web.xml to wsdl seems to work okay but discovered an Axis2 bug -- http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AXIS2-2452.

Talked to Jeff on IRC today and the new focus area is to make sure the WebServiceRef Annotation can overwrite what is in wsdl file.
