Attachments bug....
Hi
Just discovered a problem to do with attachments :
Running Axis Beta 2 on Tomcat 3.2.1
We did not have mail.jar in the classpath.
although the Message class reported that attachments were disabled
when running with debug on, we missed it :-)
when calling a method returning an attachment, the servlet
just gets an NPE.
this due to the return value treated as a mutli-ref not an attachment.
this works with tomcat 4.xx as the mail.jar classes are in the path ( I
suspect )
So the bug is :
Axis beta 2 fails with an NPE when attempting to handle a Java RPC method
with a returned attachment if attachments support is switched off .
it should report the mismatch e.g. "trying to invoke a method returning an
attachment when attachment support is disabled" and fail gracefully.
