My Spell check Dictionaries are Gone
So up until recently my Open Office program was working fine but suddenly
ALL of my dictionaries suddenly disappeared and thinks everything I type is
spelled incorrectly.
I've tried removing and re-installing my Open Office program but it still
doesn't recognize any of my words.
Please help as I am attempting to edit my novel to be published and this is
putting me behind scheduled.

If you are using Windows, close OpenOffice and the Quickstarter. Open File Explorer. Copy and paste %appdata%\OpenOffice\4 in the File Explorer Address Bar and press Enter. Delete or Rename the "user" folder. Start OpenOffice.
This cures most spellcheck problems
Reinstalling OpenOffice does not generate a new OO User Profile. You possibly lost your spellcheck links because of over-hasty power off of your computer, before all internal house keeping was complete. In future wait a few extra seconds to be certain all disk activity has ceased when going through the formal computer shut-down process.
