[Issue 126040] New: Data logically corrupted after Subtotals

https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=126040

          Issue ID: 126040
        Issue Type: DEFECT
Summary: Data logically corrupted after Subtotals
           Product: Calc
           Version: 4.1.0
          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P3
         Component: editing
          Assignee: issues@openoffice.apache.org
          Reporter: hadouma@gmail.com

Maybe I used Subtotals the wrong way, I don't know, but the result is that
records in my sheet are logically corrupted after using it. This means that
parts of records are mixed with other records.

Try this:

- Create a sheet with a reasonable number of records consisting of multiple
columns
- select 2 or 3 consecutive columns (not all columns)
- choose Data>Subtotals
- Select a column and optionally an action
- Select a second column without selecting an action

The records are now regrouped according to your input, but the columns that
were not selected are left untouched. This effectively means each record is now
different than it was before the subtotals action!!!!

Sorting and grouping may NEVER (I repeat NEVER) change the content of the
records that are sorted or regrouped

You write "Provide a step-by-step procedure to reproduce (the simpler will be
the better)"

What more do you need than what I described ????

In case you missed it:
- Create a sheet with a reasonable number of records consisting of multiple
columns
- select 2 or 3 consecutive columns (not all columns)
- choose Data>Subtotals
- Select a column and optionally an action
- Select a second column without selecting an action

were not selected are left untouched. This effectively means each record is now
different than it was before the subtotals action!!!!

Your bug report is being closed as NOT_AN_ISSUE due to a lack of information
which is needed in order to accurately reproduce and confirm the problem. We
need the following information:

a) Provide a step-by-step procedure to reproduce (the simpler will be the
better)

b) Provide any test case(s) which will help us confirm the problem (like a
sample document)

c) Provide screenshots of the problem if you think it might help

Once all of this is done, please set the bug back to UNCONFIRMED and we will
attempt to reproduce the issue.
