[jira] [Created] (KAFKA-18085) Abort inflight requests when rebootstrapping due to timeout or error
Rajini Sivaram created KAFKA-18085:
--------------------------------------
Summary: Abort inflight requests when rebootstrapping due to timeout or error
Key: KAFKA-18085
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/KAFKA-18085
Project: Kafka
Issue Type: Bug
Components: clients
Reporter: Rajini Sivaram
Assignee: Rajini Sivaram
Fix For: 4.0.0
We only used to rebootstrap when there were no connections and hence no inflight requests with KIP-899. During rebootstrapping for conditions added in KIP-1102, we may have existing connections with inflight requests. We should abort those requests prior to rebootstrap.
