[jira] [Created] (YARN-7532) NM rolling restart causing application
exceed max attempt
Bill Liu created YARN-7532:
------------------------------
Summary: NM rolling restart causing application exceed max attempt
Key: YARN-7532
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/YARN-7532
Project: Hadoop YARN
Issue Type: Bug
Reporter: Bill Liu
I set my application max attempt to 1, and when I do rolling restart the NodeManager on the machine where the Application Master running.
I found the attempt number become 2 and the new Application Master launched on other machine.
It seems when recovering a Nodemanager's containers, it does not respect the max attempt.
