jmeter using unix

i am using ssh to get into my server and installed jmeter on my server.
now i want to run my test plan which has a csv data set config---where
should i place this on the server and how do i change the path of data set
config sitting on my server?

It will look in the working directory.. So the directory in which you
initate jmeter from.

The test plan is just an xml file you can always open it in any text
editor and look in there directly
