[jira] [Updated] (OAK-4900) Enable persistent caches by default
[ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/OAK-4900?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:all-tabpanel ]
Marcel Reutegger updated OAK-4900:
----------------------------------
Summary: Enable persistent caches by default (was: Enable diff persistent cache by default)
Changed the summary because I also want to enable the regular persistent cache by default. For many setups this is beneficial because it helps reducing the number of calls to the DocumentStore backend. For now I will only change the default for the DocumentNodeStoreService. The DocumentMK.Builder is a slightly different story, because it defaults to an in-memory store, where a persistent cache doesn't make sense.

> The diff persistent cache is important for efficient processing of external changes and should be enabled by default.
