Edit ruby-1.4.0/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/buildr-1.3.5-java/lib/buildr/core/util.rb:
And comment out line 410:
module FileUtils
extend FFI::Library
alias_method :__jruby_system__, :system
#attach_function :system, [:string], :int
alias_method :__native_system__, :system
alias_method :system, :__jruby_system__
