Ctrl+A is defined for all modules. Change the selection in Customise - Keyboard
to (*) OpenOffice.
Ctrl-A works as defined; it selects all in the cell. But the colouring of the
formula (Tools → Options → OpenOffice Calc → View: [x] Show references in
colour) is temporary disabled. This is also the case if one select the formula
contents by another way (Shift+Cursor or mouse). But the colouring stays if you
select the content by double or triple click.
The colouring also goes away if one edit the formula.

The Help files do indicate "selection" should be the correct action for Ctrl-A.
Yet, when I go to Tools->Customize, no action is assigned to Ctrl-A for either
Writer or Calc.
In Calc when I do this on a cell, I get this message -- "Properties for the
task you are performing are not available for this selection."
This key sequence is not currently defined for normal usage it would appear.
The Help file on "Keyboard Shortcuts" needs to be corrected for users.
If this sequence is used internally for some other purpose, it needs to be
noted elsewhere.
